de 2.000 habitants au nord \u00a0de l&rsquo;Espagne.\u00a0Il fr\u00e9quente l&rsquo;\u00e9cole de son village, puis il fait ses \u00e9tudes secondaires en partant chaque jour en v\u00e9lo \u00e0 la ville de Logro\u00f1o, situ\u00e9e \u00e0 8 km. Il fr\u00e9quente le coll\u00e8ge des Fr\u00e8res Maristes. Apr\u00e8s son baccalaur\u00e9at, il d\u00e9cide avec 5 camarades de sa classe de devenir pr\u00eatre et pour cela il entre au s\u00e9minaire dioc\u00e9sain, o\u00f9 il reste 4 ans. Pendant ce temps il a connu les P\u00e8res Blancs, qui parlaient constamment de l&rsquo;Afrique. Il sent un attrait irr\u00e9sistible pour ce continent et ses habitants. Apr\u00e8s 4 ans d&rsquo;\u00e9tude de la th\u00e9ologie en Tunisie, il est ordonn\u00e9 pr\u00eatre et arrive en Haute Volta en 1962, destin\u00e9 au\u00a0Petit S\u00e9minaire de Pabr\u00e9.\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"font_8\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">C&rsquo;est l\u00e0 qu&rsquo;il commence \u00e0 enseigner les sciences biologiques, \u00e0 fonder un jardin botanique et \u00e0 s&rsquo;int\u00e9resser aux vertus curatives des plantes, aid\u00e9 par les Tradith\u00e9rapeutes. D\u00e8s 1977, il prodigue ses premiers soins aux s\u00e9minaristes, puis \u00e0 d&rsquo;autres personnes qui venaient de partout.
